About Jennisse Peatick
I did my first triathlon in 1989 and even now, I remember it well. I
would love to tell you that I have been doing triathlons every since
but life took me in a different direction. It is only over the last nine
years that I have remembered how much I missed it and have come
back to the sport. That triathlon taught me that if I can overcome
some of my own self-doubts, I can accomplish amazing things!
I use the lessons that triathlon taught me and other lessons learned
in my life to coach you. I watch how you react to the training. I listen
to what you enjoy doing and I challenge you to do things that I think
might interest you but know you might be afraid to try. The most
satisfying thing to me about being a coach is seeing you accomplish
great things, especially those things that you weren't sure you could
do.
While we always strive to have fun, sometimes a workout is hard,
sometimes you have to push beyond your limits to either get to
where you want to go or to go somewhere you didn't think you could
go. There is a great sense of satisfaction in accomplishing
something that was difficult.
Listening to your body and retraining your self-talk to help you push
when you need to push and trusting that you know when you need
to rest is something we work on constantly. Most of the people I train
have families, jobs and other obligations. Sometimes life happens.
It is important to know how to handle these changes in path without
losing sight of where you are headed. Goals can be accomplished
in many different ways.
I use the latest technologies, confer with a vast network of highly
qualified, well-known fitness professionals, study and apply
evidence-based scientific principles all to allow us to confirm (or
deny) what you are feeling, to help you know your body and trust
yourself but very importantly, so I can develop the best plan I can for
you to help you reach your goal successfully while still working within
your lifestyle.
I am continually improving my knowledge base and experiences to
allow me to help you in the best way I can.
If you have something you are excited about and not sure how to go
about doing it or even a little afraid of doing and want some help to
get there, give me a call or send me an e-mail.
Yours in all things amazing, fun, challenging, rewarding and healthy!
